NEW MUSIC: Jay-Z – Open Letter (produced by Swizz Beatz & Timbaland)

In the wake of Florida lawmakers questioning his recent trip to Cuba with wife Beyoncé, Jay-Z today released Open Letter, a track that takes aim at politicians and more.

“Politicians never did (expletive) for me / except lie to me, distort history,” Jay-Z raps in the song produced by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

“I done turned Havana to Atlanta/ Guayabera shirts and bandannas,” he boasts before he goes further noting: “Boy from the hood got White House clearance.”

He says, “They wanna give me jail time and a fine — Fine, let me commit a real crime,” a reference to the repercussions of an unlicensed trip to Cuba. ”

And he throws in a line about the president. “Obama said, ‘Chill you’re going to get me impeached’ / You don’t need this (stuff) anyway, chill with me on the beach.”
